Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story (るろうに剣心 明治剣客浪漫譚, Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan?)[1], a manga and anime series created by mangaka Nobuhiro Watsuki, is set during the early Meiji period in Japan. The English versions of the OVAs as well as the movie are sold under the Samurai X name. The series tells the story of an assassin named Himura Kenshin, who was known as the Hitokiri Battōsai ("Man killer - Master of Battōjutsu"). Kenshin later grieves for all the lives he has taken, and vows that he will never kill again.
The manga originally appeared in the Japanese Shonen Jump Weekly Anthology, and the completed work consists of 28 tankōbon volumes. The United States release of the manga has been completed by VIZ Media. Rurouni Kenshin is subtitled "Wandering Samurai" in some English releases, as a rough translation of "Rurouni."
Writer Kaoru Shizuka has written an official Rurouni Kenshin novel titled Voyage to the Moon World. The novel has been translated by VIZ Media and distributed in the United States and Canada. |

| Este es un AMV, de Rurouni Kenshin (るろうに剣心),Rurouni es un neologismo creado del verbo ru que significa vagar y ronin que significa samurai sin amo. Una cruda traducción del título seria Kenshin, el espadachín vagabundo (nótese que Kenshin nunca fue un samurai, por ende seria erroneo llamarlo como tal jakobu quien compro su espada sin filo en tepiko (tepito)pero en japon). Esta serie también es conocida con el nombre de Samurai X o Hitokiri Battousai(Hitokiri es una palabra compuesta por Hito que significa "persona" y kiri -tal vez les suene de "harakiri"- que significa "corte" o "cortar". Por ende Hitokiri significa algo así como "Asesino". Battousai es un apodo que recibe por la técnica que usa. El arte marcial que practica Kenshin no es el Kendo o el Kenjutsu como se cree. Practica Iaido, que es el arte del "desenvaine y corte", y justamente battou es una de las técnicas basicas del Iaido), es un manga y anime ambientado en los primeros años de la era Meiji en Japón. El personaje principal, que da nombre a la serie, está basado en un personaje histórico llamado Kawakami Gensai. |

Ive been wanting to make an AMV from this song since Ive heard it about two months ago. And finally, last night while I was laying in bed, the final scene from this AMV popped in my mind while I was listening to the song, so as soon as I woke up today, I started ripping the dvd.
I thought of making this in a way that, in some sorts, the song was meant to be about kenshin, and the AMV about Kaoru..sorta like telling that while Kenshin was experiencing all that pain, Kaoru was always there. Or something like that.
And to make that, I tried to sum up the OVA into the AMV..from the begginig when Kenshin told Kaoru he was leaving, to the end where Sanosuke helps him return and he finally arrives home; and in between some of their experiences. Trying to mantain some "implicit emphasis" on Kaoru.
Not sure if its my best work, but I sure love it as a hardcore Rurouni Kenshin fan.
I hope you like viewing it as much as I liked making it. Comments are much appreciated (even if I dont reply that much). All your good comments give me the will to make more AMVs.

| This is an anime music video I made using clips from two different anime series: "Rurouni Kenshin" and "Berserk". Warning: the video contains storyline spoilers and some stuff that isnt for children.
The song is named "The Dark Eternal Night", and is by the band Dream Theater. It was recommended to me by ShinerCCC, who also introduced me to Berserk and suggested that the two would work well together. As one of my personal favourites, I threw Rurouni Kenshin in as well.
The song was pretty challenging because it changes direction so frequently, but I had some fun with it and learned a bit more about Windows Movie Maker. |

This song really touches me; I love it so much! I thought this was perfect for Kenshin and the Samurai X OVAs.
Just F.Y.I, I was somewhat twisting the plot in the beginning to make it seem like Kaoru was confessing that she is pregnant; also, that Kenshin had to leave Kaoru to go off to fight in a war and that Kenji is younger Kenshin in the one scene where he sings, "and he can greet the world, with arms wide open."
Dedicated to the memories and love of Kenshin and Kaoru Himura. =) Enjoy~!

| My first Rurouni Kenshin video, and also my first non-DBZ video released on AMV.org! This video took a while because I started making it during the end of school, and I got cought up in finals. But I finished this video almost two months after starting it and it turned out great. I know that Linkin Park is over-used, but I just needed to use that song in this video, it fit perfectly! I tried out a little bit of Lip Syncing in this video, and some new Digital Effects. Most of the footage I captured from my Cartoon Network Rurouni Kenshin tapes, and the rest is from the Rurouni Kenshin movie, called Samurai X: The Motion Picture. I hope you enjoy this video. |

I used my absolute favorite song by the Caesars, "Spirit" for the music, with the anime provided by "Rurouni Kenshin." This is a video about the conflict between Kenshin fighting for what is right and fighting for Kaoru, and how that choice is a difficult one for him.

Starless. Oh, the fun of this song. Took me 3 days this whole thing, and after that, the more i played it, the faster it got. I hated correcting it, because playing it fast, was fun!! =) But yes, if youre looking for something to play, and fast, this is it. well maybe, for some people it takes a lot more time. For me, just a few days, and i only had 1 month or so of piano! =P See? if i can do it, anyone can. Anyways.

Kenshin vs Aoshi Shinomori
You fight him 3 times, one followed by another. Each after round, there is a cut scene and you heal yourself, its not like Clayton & Stealth Sneak(KH), but more close to the final bosses from both KH, where when you are defeated, you restart from that point. IMO his moves are slower than Kenshin master(Hiko), but stronger. Almost all enemies in the game kill you in one combo, but its possible to avoid death from then. |

Rurouni Kenshin Classic Fight Scene - The Death of Kiyosato |
| 1864, Kyoto.
We see a government official walking home at night with 2 bodyguards, whore chatting - the younger, Kiyosato, will be married next month. He is working as a bodyguard to gain status, so that his future wife will be happy.
Then Kenshin appears out of the shadows - he has come to kill the official. He quickly dispatches both the older bodyguard and the official, and then attacks Kiyosato. Kenshin tells him to surrender, but Kiyosato refuses (all the while thinking: I cant die. I cant die yet. I cant die now). However, after one last exchange of blows, he falls to the ground, and after one last vision of his fiancee ("to..moe...") dies. However, he did manage to actually mark Kenshin - a cut on Kenshins left cheek. |

| FIXED VERSION. I wanted to fix the errors in my first file and then enter it in some contests.
Another one of my favorite songs. I just love Skillet and this song carries a really special message. Let me tell you...this was a pain to sync to the words as Im sure you can tell!

I added a lot of talking throughout the music video as I like the effect and I think it added to the video. I also, for the first time, edited the song itself to shorten the middle part, make the beginning longer and such.
I also decided to put part of an episode at the end after seeing some really good videos use this effect. Hopefully it worked. ^^
