Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story (るろうに剣心 明治剣客浪漫譚, Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan?)[1], a manga and anime series created by mangaka Nobuhiro Watsuki, is set during the early Meiji period in Japan. The English versions of the OVAs as well as the movie are sold under the Samurai X name. The series tells the story of an assassin named Himura Kenshin, who was known as the Hitokiri Battōsai ("Man killer - Master of Battōjutsu"). Kenshin later grieves for all the lives he has taken, and vows that he will never kill again.
The manga originally appeared in the Japanese Shonen Jump Weekly Anthology, and the completed work consists of 28 tankōbon volumes. The United States release of the manga has been completed by VIZ Media. Rurouni Kenshin is subtitled "Wandering Samurai" in some English releases, as a rough translation of "Rurouni."
Writer Kaoru Shizuka has written an official Rurouni Kenshin novel titled Voyage to the Moon World. The novel has been translated by VIZ Media and distributed in the United States and Canada. |

The Definition of Trust |
| Excellent Quality (Professionally made)
This music video, in my opinion, it is in absolute one of the most valid, above all as it regards those on Rurouni Kenshin.
The author has chosen the song "Trust" by Megadeths, and he has thought well about combining it to the OAV in 4 parts "Tsuioku Hen." This is one of the most appropriate choices, there is nothing better than the Tsuioku Hen to define the concept of trust.
We could speak about this choice and about the good audio/video quality of this masterpiece for a very long time, but I believe its better if we look at them as we talk about the music video itself.
It starts with some repeated flashes of some frames of the OAV, first in color and then in black and white, and here are described the two fundamental components of the video: the trust and the betrayal (the trust in this case is considered a weak point, while the betrayal is a hidden blade).
From here begins the real mv, in which it can be noticed a good timing and a perfect match between lyric and images (there are no scenes put at random in the video, they are all inserted following the lyric), particularly the theme of the video is the relationship among Kenshin (or better Battosai Himura) and Tomoe.
The video is substantially divided in two parts, the second, that begins at minute 3 is slower and sad (the leading question is if it is better to have loved and lost that to never have loved at all), Battosai becomes the absolute protagonist with his doubts and his emotions.
This is not an amusing or happy video, simply the creator has transmitted in this video his sad and tragic vision of the OAV, I believe he has succeeded very well in this, so download and enjoy it without distractions, it is a video that must be understood (and besides, the writings will appear just for few seconds, therefore be ready to get them). |

The Banishment of Shishio |
| When I heard the song "The Banishment" from Ayreons very first album. Shishio immediately popped into mind. A while ago I got a request to do a Shishio video, since Makoto Shishio is rarely portrayed directly in a decent Rurouni Kenshin AMV.
So, I had recently gotten my new dell, with a new DVD rom in it. My Rurouni Kenshin box set DVDs wouldnt work on my old DVD rom, but worked just fine on my new one. So I start ripping some footage and quickly get to work on this video.
I cut the song, to skip to the main part of the song (cutting off most of the instrumental orchestrated beginning, but leaving enough to do my story intro) and cut the entire ending off the song, and ended it at the next best place.
It starts out with some text I made myself, introducing Kenshin, showing that he has a task, to banish Shishio. I explain a little about Shishio. I then go to Kenshin as he is about to meet Saitou, and learn of the task he has to complete. He then departs, leaving Kaoru behind.
Kenshin meets Shishio, but Shishio has a couple tricks up his sleeve (or on his glove) that put Kenshin out of the fight for a little while. Saitou then jumps in to take his place, and also fails. Everyone who tries, just cant beat Shishio.
Then Kenshin awakens. And he rises up to banish the evil Shishio, that has corrupted the world to achieve his goals. And our story ends as Shishio burns, and takes Yumi with him... to hell. |

| Behold, my trash over the past year. Maybe laziness is more the word? In anycase, these are the amvs Ive started and never finished. I wasnt able to fit all of my trash in this video due to techincal difficulties [one deletes and moves things alot in one year]. I got tired of looking at them in my folder so here they are, for the world [aka, a few people who actually watch my videos] to see. I did work hard on each one; just never got around to finishing them. Even so, Im not too satisfied with some of this. | I bought all the Kenshin DVDs for pretty cheap ($150) four years ago from www.an1metoysonline as it became the first an1me that Ive ever watched front to back. This song has a very special place in my heart. On a much more serious note, back in my days of Diablo II and Battle.net, I made a lot of friends over on the USWest server. I miss all of them, because we were never really able to say "Goodbye" as people just sorta outgrow things like Diablo II and leave them behind. Its a fond memory that I would always turn on this song on my mp3 player before I would log into the g4me.
